Ancillary Justice cover. I'm not a hardcore sci-fi reader by any stretch of the imagination but I'm really loving this. It's fascinatingly constructed, with a protagonist who once was a space station with thousands of ancillary bodies operating at once. The world building is detailed but never swamps the reader, with the gender & identity politics and theme of colonialism elevated to space opera levels. I have yet to see a reviewer I trust give this anything less than a rave and I completely understand why.
